Originally a family home, the cottage has been renovated to maintain the original period features while bringing the utilities into the 21st century. Think roll-top baths, roaring log fires, and tasteful period interior design. We also allow pets!

We are located just a two-minute walk from the centre of Hay-on-Wye and an equal distance from the idyllic, meandering River Wye. There are plenty of activities on offer nearby, including gorgeous walks, canoeing, and other outdoor pursuits. The cottage is only a stone’s throw from The Globe at Hay. As one of Wales’ favourite arts centres, it offers a range of entertainment, including live music, art exhibitions, comedy, and open mics. As a little treat, guests at Smallbrook are given free tickets to all events during their stay.
