Independents Day

Independents Day: a different kind of book event, featuring voices from outside the mainstream. As publishing becomes more corporate and risk-averse, small imprints are bringing new talent to our attention, using crowd-funding, print-on-demand and other ways of breaking the mould. What better place to showcase their work than Hay? Spanning fiction, non-fiction, local interest and poetry, a varied programme of talks, readings and conversations will tap into the creative energy. Join us, meet with authors and catch the fringe as it moves centre stage.  Signed copies for sale. Refreshments available all day.

Admission free.
