Dutch native Gitta de Ridder has found a home on the British indie-folk scene. Wanting to explore our human tendency to identify with culture and heritage, de Ridder put on her clogs and wandered across Europe for eight months to eight countries and on her travels recorded ‘To Our Children’ her upcoming 8-track album.

The simplicity and purity she performs her songs with is ever so captivating and full of character while telling a story of us humans searching for connection with ourselves and each other, all performed in English. 

To Our Children has a sound reminiscent of Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland’ and the early day releases of Scandinavian songstress Ane Brun brings yet more of her character out.
