Saturday Shenanigans: Bright Shiners

‘They know how, not just to sing, but to reach out to and embrace an audience and send them away warmed and rewarded'. - Halifax Courier.
Bright Shiners are an acapella singing group from around Hebden Bridge in the heart of the Pennines, performing in a fantastically wide range of musical styles.  You’ll love their inimitable approach – gorgeous, rich harmonies performed with verve, and a relaxed vibe that belies their vocal precision.  They are a free-wheeling, fun-loving bunch, comfortable in any genre, and with a great rapport. They will showcase 20th Century American popular classics - Cole Porter, George Gershwin and arrangements by Manhattan Transfer amongst others - alongside spirituals and folk based music.

Characterised by beautifully blended voices and moving performances, Due Voci have appeared regularly at regional musical venues and events. They will share some of their gorgeous and witty repertoire and will perform a variety of Folk and Opera, including some lovely light hearted pieces by Rossini and Brahms.
There will be a relaxed open mic session from 10 – 11PM after the main show.
