Desert Island Picks: Raymond Allen

 Raymond Allen is a British television writer and playwright best known for creating the 1970s BBC sitcom Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. He also wrote for the comedians Dave Allen, Little & Large and Frankie Howerd and the story of his life is both funny and inspirational to the struggling creative. A live theatre version of Some Mothers is currently touring the UK with Joe Pasquale in the role of Frank Spencer. FREE ENTRY!

After sharing his desert island pics here at the globe , Ray will be raising funds for St Mary's Church, Hay-on-Wye HR3 5ED, at 7:30pm on Saturday 30th June with a talk about his early career. This event is sponsored by the globe at hay.
