Welsh singer/songwriter Brian Humphreys may be a new name on the UK acoustic scene but already he is causing a stir in the wake of some fine performances in Wales the West of England and as far afield as the Vienna Folk Festival. His soulful, gravely vocal, sweet harmonica, guitar and mandolin and thoughtful Americana tinged compositions have drawn comparisons with Steve Earle and John Fogerty and many of his songs have been described as evoking John Steinbeck's 1930's America.
